Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves inserting thin
needles into specific points on the body to stimulate and balance the body’s energy
flow, known as “Qi”. This practice is based on the concept of meridians, which are
pathways in the body through which energy flows. By manipulating these meridians and adjusting the flow of energy, it makes the body itself can promote health and alleviate various physical and mental ailments.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapeutic technique that involves placing cups on the skin to create a vacuum or suction effect. This suction is typically created by heating the inside of the cup briefly and then placing it onto the skin, where the cooling air inside the cup creates a vacuum that pulls the skin and underlying tissue upward into the cup. Cupping is often used to relieve muscle tension, relaxation, remove toxins from the body, improve blood flow. Cupping leaves circular marks or bruise-like discolorations on the skim, which are typically temporary and fade over time.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture is non-surgical and holistic approach to improving the appearance of the skin and reducing the signs of aging. It involves the insertion of very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the face and body to stimulate circulation, collagen production, and overall skin health.
Electronic Stimulation Acupuncture
Electroacupuncture incorporates the use of electrical current to enhance the therapeutic effects of acupuncture. In electroacupuncture, a small, low-level electrical current is applied to acupuncture needles inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body. Some studies suggest that it may be particularly useful for pain relief and the treatment of certain neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
Auricular Acupuncture / Ear seeds
The ear is considered a reflection of the body, and each point on the ear corresponds to a particular organ or body system. Auricular acupuncture is frequently used in the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol. These points can help reduce craving, alleviate withdrawal symptoms, smoking cessation, weightloss, stress reduction, and pain management. Ear seeds are small, adhesive pellets that are placed on specific auricular points without the use of needles, and can be worn for several days or even up to a week. Ear seeds are often used to support ongoing treatment goals or for self-care.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that involves burning a dried herb called mugwort(Artemisia vulgaris)near acupuncture points on the body. Moxibustion is believed to stimulate the flow of qi (energy) and blood in the body, thereby promoting healing and balancing the body’s energy. It is often used to address conditions related to cold or dampness, such as arthritis, digestive disorders, menstrual pain, and general weakness
Guasha
Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged instrument to promote blood circulation and release tension. Gua Sha can promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and release the stagnant trapped in the body’s tissues.
Herbal Therapy
Herbal therapy takes a holistic view of health, recognizing the interconnection of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It aims to address the root causes of health problems rather than just treating symptoms. Nutrition and dietary choices are integral to health, combining these elements allow for a more comprehensive and synergistic approach to well-being.
